Maisha Yangu Organization (MYO) is a community-based organization committed to transforming the lives of vulnerable children and young people through holistic education, care, and empowerment. Serving more than 200 children annually, MYO provides a comprehensive afterschool program that offers academic support, nutritious daily meals, homework assistance, and a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn, grow, and thrive beyond the classroom. The organization works closely with families, schools, and the community to ensure that every child has access to opportunities that foster resilience, confidence, and long term success. Beyond academics, MYO equips children with practical life skills and meaningful opportunities for personal development through structured mentorship, talent development clubs, and sports programs. Learners participate in music, dance, drama, visual arts, public speaking, coding, and other creative clubs that nurture their unique abilities, while organized sports promote teamwork, discipline, leadership, and healthy living. Through consistent mentorship from trained staff and volunteers, MYO helps children build positive character, strengthen emotional wellbeing, and develop the knowledge, values, and skills needed to become responsible, confident, and active contributors to their communities.
