HERA Initiative is a community-based organization committed to advancing reproductive health, gender equality, and human rights among vulnerable communities in Kilifi County, Kenya. We work with adolescents, young people, women, parents, faith leaders, schools, and community stakeholders to promote access to accurate sexual and reproductive health information, prevent teenage pregnancies and gender-based violence, and strengthen community dialogue on health and rights. Through education, advocacy, and community engagement, we empower individuals to make informed decisions, challenge harmful social norms, and create safer, healthier, and more inclusive communities where everyone can thrive.
